Work to Install Overhead Variable Message Boards Planned for I-79

Work to install overhead variable message boards on I-79 will occur Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, weather permitting, according to PennDOT District 11.

Lane closures and 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur on northbound I-79 from the Parkway North [I-279 Exit 72] to the Pennsylvania Turnpike [Exit 76] from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday

Kuharchik Construction Inc. and Wellington Power will perform the work.

Motorists should use caution, slow down, and expect to stop when traveling through the area. Log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on most major roadways before traveling.
